The Ultimate Question: Who Am I?Isn’t this the question that guides our whole lives? Isn’t this what all of our actions, thoughts, feelings, and relationships are really all about? The question of who I really am is like a tiny light in the distance, sometimes receding, sometimes closer, that leads me on through what often seems like the darkness of reality. It’s why I keep going when things are really hard. It’s why I celebrate when things are great; not because of some final answer, but because of the constant and comforting permanence of the question, and the ever evolving solutions that present themselves. What if we could learn that we are immensely powerful, creative beings, that we live not at the mercy of events but at the creative heart of them? This would be the most powerful realization we’d ever have, and the most profound. Creating reality in an inspired way, giving birth to new events, is what our nature is all about. The questions we ask about ourselves are the way we begin to learn about the process. |

I went camping this weekend at Mono Hot Springs wherein I learned from my self the greatest lesson so far. I had a spiritual experience in a hot spring during the moon setting. I won't go into the details of how I came to learn this lesson as those are worthy of their own book, but I can say that I finally understand what all this is really about for me.
That everything I've ever learned, that everything I've ever desired, that everything I've ever experienced has hinged on, has amounted to, has been trying to teach me this one simple yet incredibly profound fact.
People try to tell me this in different ways. I try to tell myself this through the events I've attracted. My rational mind tries to take the long way through planning, uninspired action, and expectations.

We Are All OneWhat does this mean in today’s world? How can we understand how this idea fits into the reality we now inhabit? Is it a religious idea, a scientific one, or a greeting card sentiment with no real applicability? It brings to mind concepts like these: Global Village No man is an island. Whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did for me. All nature is Buddha nature. But how do we get our minds to really comprehend these ideas? There are two images that I’ve found helpful in understanding how the diverse and multiple nature that is our material reality is really an experience of Oneness. |

Connecting With Your Higher Self“You are the infinite, seen from a specific, localized point of view. Your soul is the part of you that is universal and individual at the same time, and it is a reflection of all other souls.”
~ Deepak Chopra In the ancient Greek world, the Oracle of Delphi was where you went for answers. The voice of the Oracle was the priestess, called the Pythia, named after the Python which had been the guardian of the spring located at the original site.
Here you could receive an answer for any question: When to plant your seeds, whether to marry your suitor, where to go on a trip, how to conduct your business or whether your city was going to win or lose the battle. The most famous incident of prediction was when the priestess said that Athens would win the Battle of Salamis using a “wooden wall”, which they figured out actually meant the Navy. |
