'The Secret' Movie and Your Creative Potential

The story behind how 'The Secret' was created is a fascinating one. In case you haven't heard, 'The Secret' is the recent and fabulous movie about the Law of Attraction; that is, the natural laws of the universe that are the basis of the life you're living and the life you're creating.

Rhonda Byrne was the key instigator, or rather conscious creator, of 'The Secret' movie. Before I tell you about how she created this hit movie that's spreading like wildfire across the world, I want to tell you a little about the movie itself, mostly to tantalize you into watching it for yourself!

Why Hate The Secret Movie?

The Secret does seem to trigger lots of resentment and anger in some people. It always makes me wonder what is going on there. If it were as inaccurate and unrealistic as critics say, why not just dismiss it and move on? But those who are angered by it seem to give it more attention than those who believe in it! 

Many critics point to the movie as one based on positive thinking.  But the action part was not left out of the movie--and is not left out of the teachings of those who were in the Secret. James Ray even says that if you expect to just sit on your couch and change your thoughts, without acting, they'll come and repossess your furniture!

Why The Secret Law of Attraction Was Suppressed

The recent movie The Secret opens with a story about the suppression of this incredibly valuable information. They say that the information was hidden, used by the rulers of ancient times to get whatever they wanted, and was kept secret from the common folks for centuries.

Imagine that you've uncovered information that would completely reshape the current political system in the United States. This information is so powerful that all who are in possession of it could soon control the entire country, and perhaps the world. What do you think would happen?

The Secret Goes Mainstream

Earlier this year a small company in Australia started marketing a movie they called The Secret. The marketing campaign was nothing short of brilliant. Using the principles they teach in the movie, as well as the Internet and viral marketing techniques, they spread the word about The Secret movie with very little other advertising.

They showed a small clip from the movie, and talked about how "The Secret would soon be revealed." Rather than attempt to push the movie out to the general public through normal marketing methods, they used the power of the Internet to build excitement and buzz.
